Let’s just say that this morning was just one of those mornings. So, I decided to take the girls to the doctor to get their sinus colds checked out. Well, as the girls and I were finishing the last touches on our christmas cookies and sticking the last stamps to our holiday cards, Sophie fell on a ball and hurt her arm. She cried and cried and wouldn’t move her arm. We bundled up and...

– Maddix Lane this morning at 3:30am. She was coughing so much it was keeping her and I awake so we just laid on the couch and cuddled for a while until we both fell asleep. No matter the time or the situation she still knows the best (and funniest) thing to say!

Tonight Maddix Lane’s pal innocently took her gum, it was the saddest thing on the whole planet to her. Her little lip started quivering and tears streamed down her face. I hugged her and told her how she could have a new piece tomorrow and how good of a girl she was. She has such a tender heart. I love that about her. On the way home in the car she said to me, ” mommy it makes me sad...
“Dear Jesus, thank you for GRACE…Amen.”
– Maddix Lane this afternoon praying for our lunch. I like to think that she was really thanking God for His grace. Although, it is quite possible she was just confused about “saying grace” for our food. Who knows! I know that my heart loved it and God’s did too!
