27 uniforms for my 27th birthday ♥

Dear friends and family,

On September 13th I will be turning 27.

On March 3rd, 2012 I will be taking a team of women to Kampala, Uganda to serve the women and children there.

For months I have been earnestly seeking the Lord’s will, as I have had the desire to take sisters in Christ to the city that broke my heart in the fall of 2010.

On Monday, July 25th, at Fairmount Family Camp, God confirmed the call for me lead women to Uganda. God spoke to my heart as Pastor Buckingham preached about the story of Gideon in Act’s 6 and 7. He gave these three points: “Tear down the old, let go, and build the new”, “Forget the past. Be free”’, “Now, GO, and LEAD”. The Holy Spirit overwhelmed my heart and led me to the alter where I said, “Yes, Lord”…believing that He has made me new, that He loves me, has equipped me, and that He has a beautiful plan for my life.

Oh, how thankful I am for His redeeming grace in my life. I am nothing without Him.

The Lord has been blowing me away by how He is weaving this team of women together. When I first heard the Lord speak different women’s names to me to ask to go, I thought six or so would join me in Uganda. In the weeks that followed the Lord told me not to limit Him. Now two months later, almost a dozen women have committed to go! It has been amazing to hear how each woman was called by God to go and now to watch them step out in faith and be obedient to His call!

Now, to the part that involves you.

Our team has committed to purchase 45 uniforms for the women who work at the orphanage we will be serving in. These women are some of the hardest working women that I have ever known and it will be such an honor to bless them in this way!

I would love for my 27th birthday to be able to raise enough money to buy 27 of these uniforms.
