Saturday Nathan and I took Ezra for his first professional hair cut. Our friend Craig took us to his favorite barber in Indianapolis named Dexter. We had a great time fellowshipping with Dexter’s clients leading up to Ezra’s appointment. Although we watched two other women painlessly get their hair styled, Ezra was very nervous about this new adventure. As soon as we put him in the barber chair he panicked, causing himself to physically get sick.
After a lot of hugs, calm reassurance, hand holding, and deep breathing, he settled down.
An then…
a HUGE smile and laughter and Dexter began shaving away!
Ezra did it!
He was so proud of himself and his new hair!
We are so proud too!
The first thing that came out of his mouth Sunday morning was, “Mom look at my new hair! I got a haircut!”
So thankful for each victorious moment with my boy!
God is truly doing a work in both of us!
