art auction- an unforgettable day

About a month ago my girls asked if they could have an art auction to raise money to buy donations for the kids at Sanyu Babies Home, where I will be serving at in March. I was so excited that they wanted to use their gifts the Lord has given them to to fill suitcases for the babies at Sanyu {the orphanage we adopted Ezra from}! I, of course, agreed and they have been working hard at creating artwork to sell ever since!
I love that this upcoming missions trip is not just about me or the ladies team, but it has become a family affair. Knowing that my kids and husband are excited about me serving in Uganda again brings me so much peace and joy! As I have said before, leaving them is the hardest thing for me, so knowing they are in this with me is so valuable to me!
This morning the girls had their art auction at our house and it truly was a memory I will never forget! Fifteen family members {and neighbor Bob!!} came to show their support! We ate homemade cinnamon rolls, sipped on coffee, and laughed so hard at my dad who was our amazing, hysterical, auctioneer {he nailed the voice and all!}! As we saw the precious art work Maddix and Sophie created, we lovingly bided each other up! It was so fun! ♥
Maddix and Sophie raised $217 for their artwork!
Every piece sold!
Nathan and I couldn’t be more proud!
My heart is so full!
I am so thankful to have an extended family who loves and supports us!
God has been so sweet to me, to us, today!
And it get’s even sweeter…
…now I am off to help decorate Bridgette, Trey, Trenner, and baby Solomon’s house because Bridgette and Solomon will be HOME tonight from Uganda!
Oh, now that’s an unforgettable day!
God is SO GOOD! ♥
