Baby Metz is coming…in less than TWO WEEKS! ♥

The next Metz is coming in less than 2 weeks! ♥
Yes, you read that right!
Can you tell from this picture that we are all about to burst?!!
When we started our adoption journey in 2009 we had the desire to adopt here in the United States. However, both agencies that we contacted told us that there was less than a 10% chance we could successfully adopt a newborn in the USA. Nathan and I got the impression that there were huge waiting lists and because we do not struggle with infertility we did not want to slow down the process for a family that was infertile. So, we kept seeking the Lord and He ~in His perfect plan~ led us to our Ezra in Uganda. Last year were introduced to an amazing Christian Adoption Consultant and found out that the need for families to adopt African American children is great! So great in-fact, that the wait time for families is between 0-6 months!
We updated our home study last August and then hit the pause button in November since I was preparing to go to on a missions trip to Uganda.
Then….
Wednesday April 11th our adoption consultant contacted us and asked if we would be willing to send our family profile to a sweet mom here in the United States who was due in late May. We prayerfully said, “Yes” and sent her our profile!
We found out Tuesday April 17th that she chose our family!
Two days later on April 19th we found out that her doctor moved up her delivery date to May 2nd!!!!!
We have had a very emotional 11 days! We praise God that He has been so close to us during this time. As we start to feel overwhelmed with the speed of things, we have cried out to Him and He has provided us with peace! He has given us a birth mom that we love! And, she loves us! He has given us an adoption consultant and attorney that have been cheerleaders through this process! When we have felt overwhelmed with what we don’t have for the baby yet, He sent sisters in Christ to our house, unannounced, to drop off bedding and clothes. He rallied our friends and family around us! He has been in every detail! We praise Him!
Nathan is so excited he could burst! Maddix, Sophie, and Ezra are already picking out baby names! Sophie wants baby’s name to be “Unicorn Rainbow Metz.” Not so sure about that one Sophie! I am absolutely in awe of God, totally dumbfounded by His goodness!
We ask you to please pray for us! Truly, this is our greatest need! Yesterday Nathan and I were laying in bed listening to worship music together, resting in God’s presence, and we said to each other, “When we focus on Christ this doesn’t feel so crazy!”. We know we can do all things through Him!
God has already provided us with nearly 75% of this adoption cost!
At this time we need to raise around $2,000 for traveling expenses [I can’t publicly disclose at this time what state baby will be born in]. We will be traveling the week of May 1st to be at the birth of baby Metz and then I will stay in the state he/she is born in for about 10 days while all the paperwork is being completed.
We need to raise this money in the next 3-4 days!
Would you come along side us to close this financial gap?
So many of you have blessed us already! You’ve prayed and helped with Ezra’s adoption, Maddix’s Turkey Birthday, my missions trip to Uganda, uniforms for the momma’s at Sanyu Babies Home, pajamas for kids at Ekisa, supported the Kwagala Project, and so much more! And for that we thank you!
We have been so excited to share our news with you on this forum. We knew we could come here to ask for help! If you want to make a donation to our family for our traveling expenses there is a PayPal button on the right side of my blog. ——->
If you prefer to write a check email me at jadeleemetz@yahoo.com for our mailing address.
Thank you for sharing in our joy!
We are crazy in love with our God who is wild, romantic, fascinating, infinite, Sovereign, and full of adventure! We know He has the most beautiful plan for our family of six!
