My dad has his place in heaven.
Today Godfrey (our driver) took my dad and I to Calvary Christian Church. It was on the top floor of an old building in Kampala. There was several hundred people there. There was a good mix of Ugandan’s, American’s and people from other parts of the world. The music there was AMAZING and I had some awesome time worshiping my Maker. After about 30 minutes of singing they brought out the plates for communion. My dad was sitting beside me and I started explaining to him what communion meant. I told him that you only take communion if you have accepted Jesus into your heart. I told him that he did not have to take it if he did not want to but that if he wanted to ask Christ into his life that I would love to pray with him. He looked at me with teary eyes and said that he wanted to. I cried and started praying with him. He gloriously asked forgiveness for his sins and accepted Christ into his heart. We then took communion together, prayed again, and hand in hand sang praises to OUR Maker. It was beautiful. It was the moment I have been, along with so many others, been praying about for 10 years.
About a month ago I was massaging a ladies feet at work and I started thinking about this trip and how awesome it would be to come back home with Samuel in my arms and news that my father was now gloriously saved.
And now my friends, I am OVERJOYED to tell you that my dad has his place in heaven! God answered my prayers and USED ME TO LEAD MY DAD TO THE LORD! Praise His Name!!!! I can’t wait to do devotions with him tonight!
I miss my husband and girls so much but I have this amazing peace that I am right where I am supposed to be. I am becoming a better servant. I am getting to know my son and his culture. I am being a witness to my father.
UPDATE
Samuel’s photo was in the paper today. It will be in there for a few days. Please pray that the judge grants us a hearing THIS WEEK and will give us a ruling quickly! Thank you for your prayers and your faithfulness to me! God is moving in such amazing ways!
